AI vendor comparison
How to compare AI vendors without a spreadsheet graveyard
AI vendor comparison is the process of matching a written use case to candidate products, scoring them on the same security, compliance, pricing and model-approach criteria, and recording a shortlist your organisation can defend. CompareYourAI is software built for that process.

Why AI vendor comparison is different
Buying a chatbot is not the same as buying finance software. Model approach, data residency, training-data policy and EU AI Act readiness sit next to price and integrations. Review-site stars do not encode those fields. A vendor website will not put its gaps next to a rival's. Procurement still has to sign something.
Criteria that belong on every AI shortlist
| Criterion | Why it is on the list |
|---|---|
| Security posture | Data handling, hosting, and access control before a tool reaches production. |
| Compliance | ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, EU AI Act and DORA as fields you can put next to each other, not as brochure claims. |
| Model approach | Hosted, self-hosted or mixed — and what that means for residency and control. |
| Pricing | Comparable cost, not a slide that says “talk to sales”. |
| Integrations | Whether the product fits the stack you already run. |
| Use-case fit | Whether it actually does the job you wrote down, not a neighbouring job. |
A four-step method
1. Write the requirement in plain language
Name the job to be done, the users, and any hard constraints (residency, certifications, on-prem). Keyword lists hide the actual need.
2. Match vendors to that requirement
Search the live web for candidates and profile each one from its own website. Add a specific vendor by pasting its website.
3. Score the same criteria for every vendor
Security, compliance, pricing, integrations and model approach, weighted the way your organisation actually decides — not the way a vendor demo is sequenced.
4. Export a record the sign-off chain can read
A PDF comparison and shortlist beats a spreadsheet nobody can reconstruct in six months.
Spreadsheets, G2, and CompareYourAI
G2 and Capterra are useful for peer sentiment across a category. They are not a record of your requirement. Spreadsheets are a record, but they do not match vendors to a use case or keep security fields consistent. CompareYourAI sits in the gap: a workspace that starts from the requirement, scores the same fields, and exports a PDF. It is not a substitute for legal review or a Gartner note.

One workspace that takes you from an
open requirement to a decision your organisation can stand behind.
Yes. No card required.
AI vendor comparison software matches a written use case to AI products, then scores them on security, compliance, pricing, integrations and model approach so procurement teams can shortlist with evidence rather than vendor marketing.
